these sheepskins are naturally hand tanned with bark tannins which leaves a beautiful pink hue on the skin side and a rich grounding smell. being that this process is completely natural there may be remaining bits of vegetable matter in the wool, different degrees of suppleness and some feel of lanolin or oil from the tanning process. the hope is these features make your hide feel even more special in honor of the life lived and the quality of the craft.
